Jonagold

This variety was selected in the United States and is new to our country. The tree is moderate to vigorous, with skeletal branches that form a broad, open crown. Flowering is moderately late. The variety is soon fertile and fertile. The fruits are large, globular-conical, with a yellow-green main color, covered more or less (depending on the year and place of growth) with a fuzzy and striped red color. Their meat is creamy, crunchy, sweet, pleasantly sour, of very good quality. Harvest maturity occurs around September 15-20, or almost simultaneously with the Golden Superb variety. Requires careful handling and transport, stored in normal conditions for about 3 months, and in refrigerated - about 6 months.
